Meghalaya BJP expels 3 members for anti-party activities

These include Pramod Koch (Dalu), Micheal Kharsyntiew (North Shillong) and Daniel Wahlang (Mawsynram).

SHILLONG:

The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on March 16, expelled three of its members from primary membership for anti-party activities.

In a press statement issued here, state president of the BJP Ernest Mawrie, informed that Pramod Koch from Dalu, Michael Kharsyntiew from North Shillong and Daniel Wahlang from Mawsynram have been expelled for contesting and working against the official candidate of the party.

Koch and Kharsyntiew contested from Dalu and North Shillong constituencies respectively against the BJP’s official candidates – Akki A Sangma and Mariahom Kharkrang.

From Dalu, Brening A. Sangma of the National People’s Party and from North Shillong Adelbert Nongrum of the Voice of the People’s Party retained their seats.
