Meghalaya karatekas primed for India Open International Karate Championship 2023

In an exciting development for the sport of karate in Meghalaya, a team of thirty-one skilled karatekas from the All Meghalaya Karate–Do Association, under the leadership of Donboklang Lyngdoh, Arjun Sewa, Pynhunlang Kharbuli, and Sunil Rathee as coaches and managers, is gearing up to compete in the highly anticipated India Open International Karate Championship 2023. The prestigious event is scheduled to take place on June 17th and 18th, 2023, at the Talkotara Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

The Meghalaya contingent is comprised of talented individuals who have been carefully selected to represent the state in this renowned competition. The team boasts a strong lineup of both male and female karatekas, each prepared to showcase their exceptional skills and compete at the highest level. Among the male participants are Wilson Mylliem Pdah, Damebanmerbha S Blah, Kmenlang Shabong, Gideon Tympuin, Shandarson Nongrem, Alferius Kharsyiemiong, Bhawanchwadame Lyngdoh Mawphlang, Davyson Kharkongor, Nangkitbok Phira, Albert Jana, Cheltis Shylla, Iohbor Mylliempdah, Paul Danny Kharmudai, Evanmedon Rynghang, Albert Jyrwa, and Gary Daniel Lyngdoh Mawlong.

Meanwhile, the female representation from Meghalaya comprises Inlumlang Skhemiew, Anisha Wahlang, Daphishisha Shadap, Aibiangpormika Lyngdoh Mawphlang, Daphilahun Wahlang, Kynjailin L. Mawnai, Carene Sohiong, Larisha Kurbah, Carenia Rapthap, Phindasumarlin Rani, Rebeka Nongspung, Laiarisa Nongrum, Saralin Rynghang, and Durka Padit.
