The Tejas-Rajdhani Express run by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) between Agartala and Anand Vihar (T), New Delhi, celebrated its one-year anniversary on February 14.

“The service is well patronised by the people of the Northeast. Tejas is a stepping stone in realising the vision of Indian Railways to provide passengers with a safe, efficient, affordable and customer-focused experience. That it connects the region with the national capital, wherein becoming a symbol of national unity in the country, is a matter of immense pride,” a spokesperson of NFR said.

The Tejas-Rajdhani Express is maintained at Agartala and the NFR has successfully provided uninterrupted services since its commissioning, with no breakdown from Agartala to Anand Vihar and back, thus making it a success story in the region.

The train is furnished with smart features such as automatic plug doors, fire and smoke detection, suppression system, CCTV surveillance, and bio-vacuum toilets, among other features that ensure a safe and comfortable journey for the passengers.
