Polo Bazaar to 4th Furlong Junction route reverted to two-way road

The Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has revoked one-way traffic order from Polo Bazaar to 4^th Furlong Junction after not seeing the desired result to ease traffic congestion in the route.

The cancellation of the order comes two weeks after the STP had imposed the said traffic regulation intending to ease traffic in the route, however, according to the Office of the Superintendent of Police (SP), there has been no improvement in easing traffic, and the road has been again made a two-way route.

“This is for the information of the general public that after imposing the one way from Polo Bazaar to 4^th Furlong Junction, it has been seen that the desired effect to ease traffic congestion has not been achieved. Hence, the one way between the above two points is revoked and reverted back to two-way road,” the SP office said in a release.
