Rymbui inaugurates 36th annual college week of Ri Bhoi College

Rymbui urged the students to aim high so that they can overcome the challenges which come into their lives with honour and dignity.

NONGPOH:

Minister in-charge Home and Education, Lahkmen Rymbui, attended and inaugurated the 36th annual college week of Ri Bhoi College on November 8.

The event was also attended by WK Blah, who is the secretary of the college governing body and the guest of honour, SSR Bamon, principal of Ri Bhoi College, Giri Prasad, IPS, Superintendent of Police, R Kharbihkhiew, MCS, ADC, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, students and others.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Rymbui expressed his pleasure at being invited to be a part of the programme. He said the world is changing fast, and the young students, who are the future of the state, need to prepare themselves for the changes. Telling students not to have a static mindset, he added, “Shine today and beyond.”

Rymbui also said that in order to be successful in life, one needs to have a dynamic mindset and use whatever God given talent one has and to be responsible for one’s own actions. He also said to overcome the challenges in life, one must seek education and study hard.

He further said that through the education imparted by Ri Bhoi College, students can be empowered and will come to know their strengths and be able to adapt to the changes and uplift their lives. He urged the students to aim high so that they can overcome the challenges which come into their lives with honour and dignity.

He concluded by urging the students to share their responsibility, work collective, respect each other and the society so that they can shine today and beyond.
