The melodious voices of the talented musicians there infused him with a deep-seated love for music and an unbridled passion for singing, thereby, inspiring him to pursue his musical journey. Vince, on February 1, 2023, released his first debut single ‘Slide’, a tribute to the warmth of love and the beauty of new beginnings.

‘Slide’ is an electrifying new single that effortlessly blends soulful R&B and Chill Rap, creating a sultry and nostalgic atmosphere. The creative process behind the track was led by the artiste’s imaginative ideas and the production was handled by a talented team at the TMPros label. According to the artiste, the lyrics of ‘Slide’ aim to evoke feelings of warmth and a new type of love, making it the perfect love song for anyone looking to heat up their relationship.

22-year-old Vince is a student at St. Edmund’s College, pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in the field of Geography. “My given name, Wanjop Vincent Swer Rani, is a unique blend of cultural and personal significance, and it is my middle name, Vincent, that forms the basis of my stage name, simply known as Vince.”

Vince holds artistes such as Smino, Roddy Ricch, Lucky Daye, ArinRay, Phabo, Juice Wrld as the ones who have provided him with endless inspiration and motivation, leaving a lasting imprint on his artistic expression.

Vince’s musical odyssey has been a truly captivating experience, one that he has cherished every step of the way. Over the years, he has had the pleasure of performing in a multitude of locations, each one of them leaving its own indelible mark on his musical journey. However, one person who has played a particularly significant role in shaping his musical abilities is his music teacher from his school. “My teacher’s unwavering support and guidance have helped me to hone my skills and become the musician I am today.”

The singer’s education in music is the result of a lifelong passion and immersion in the industry. “Although I have not undergone any formal training, I have been constantly seeking opportunities to deepen my musical abilities and expand my horizons.”

Ultimately, I hope to use my education and musical talents to create a bright future for myself and make a positive impact on the world.”

For Vince, it was his performance at the recently concluded Winter Music Carnival. “I must say that was one of my proudest musical moments. I can only imagine the rush of excitement that must have coursed through my veins as I stepped onto that stage, ready to give my all in the name of music. At that moment, I was truly alive.”
