SHILLONG:
Along with the rest of the nation, St Anthony’s Secondary School, Kharpati, celebrated Children’s Day with pomp and gaiety commemorating the birthday of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the country’s first prime minisiter.
The school, in addition to the festivities, inaugurated a new school building and toilets sanctioned by the MLA scheme, in collaboration with individuals to cover the expenses.
MLA of Nongpoh Mayralborn Syiem, who served as the chief guest, inaugurated the new school building.
The event was also attended by Robertus Rihon, Syiem of Raid Kharpati, Jayanta Mudoi, Bank Manager HDFC Bank, Nongpoh, Anima CM, Headmistress of the School, Ibadahun Kharkongor from HDFC Bank, Nongpoh, along with teachers and parents.
