SHILLONG:

Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, on November 3, said that the Chief Minister will hold a meeting next week to discuss about the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security (Amended) act which was returned by the Central Government recently, and as of now the Government is implementing MRSSA 2016 in 7 localities of Shillong.

“The Ministry of Home Affairs has returned the amended MRSSA passed in the Assembly, and we will hold a meeting next week to discuss the views put forward by the MHA,” Tynsong said.

Tynsong said that the Task Force Committee is already in place, and all the Deputy Commissioners’ have been directed to implement the MRSSA accordingly.
