SHILLONG:
UDP candidate from Mawlai constituency PT Sawkmie cast his vote at Nongpdeng on February 27.
Speaking to media persons after casting his vote, Sawkmie is confident of retaining Mawlai seat and said that he has high chance of winning by a huge margin considering the fact that the other parties vying for Mawlai seat are new entries.
“I have worked hard. I hope UDP wins more MLAs and lead the government,” he said, adding that the parties in Mawlai like NPP, TMC, and VPP are new in the constituency; trust is yet to be established between the people and the new parties.
