The Voice of the People Party (VPP) has accepted the challenge of state unit president of the National People’s Party (NPP), WR Kharlukhi for a debate on reworking on the ratio of reservation.
According to VPP’s general secretary, Ricky A J Syngkon, the party has decided to pit its spokesperson Batskhem Myrboh against Kharlukhi who is also a Rajya Sabha member from the state.
“The VPP expresses its appreciation for the acceptance of the state president of the NPP to the party’s challenge to prove that the demand for the reworking on the ratio of reservation as per the population structure is illogical and wrong,” Syngkon said.
The VPP has also appealed to a neutral institution/agency to organise an open one- on-one debate between the two leaders.
