The growing urbanization has made the conservation of water bodies an arduous task but the Dorbar Shnong of Mawlai Kynton Massar has taken up the mantle to revive the past glory of Wah Umsohlang – etched in the memories of the people like a river which has formed an integral part of their lives.
The river which was almost on the verge of turning into a drain has ignited the hearts of conservationists who decided to revive the water.
