The search for Marshal Marwein, a 30-year-old man buried alive in Marten on February 3, has reached its conclusion.
Today, the search and rescue team, comprising members of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), other ragpickers, municipality workers, and others, successfully located his body.
Yesterday, the search and rescue operation had to be suspended due to low visibility. However, resuming their efforts at 9 am today, the team persisted in their mission.
According to reports, on February 3, Marwein had arrived in Marten after collecting waste from the city. While planning to gather scrap, a sudden collapse of the garbage dump occurred, burying him alive. Originally from Mawkyrwat, Marwein resided in Mawiong and is survived by his wife and two children.
