Congress leader Saleng Sangma, on December 12, said that the party is coordinating with top leaders about the Shillong and Tura Lok Sabha (LS) seats, and drawing detailed plans for the forthcoming LS elections.
“We had a meeting with Vincent Pala and he has directed each and every block to find out why people did not come back to Congress. To find out if it was the fault of the candidature or party leadership, so those kinds of things are being looked into,” he said.
He said that in Garo Hills the progress is slow, however, the party is doing good.
Asked on when will the Congress announce the names of the candidates, Sangma said that the party’s high command will decide on the candidature.
