Mariahom Kharkrang

SHILLONG:

North Shillong Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Mariahom Kharkrang, on February 2, said that he would be carrying forward the party’s agenda of development.

Kharkrang pointed out that development is visible in all the BJP-ruled states of the country.

Kharkrang, a former police officer, said that there can be no development without law and order. He said that he would focus on education, healthcare, employment and security.

He also said that the late announcement of candidates by his party will not affect their prospects since the aspirants have been working in their respective constituencies for several months now.

It may be mentioned that Kharkrang was able to make the cut after he edged out another ticket aspirant Michael Kharsyntiew.
