NONGPOH:
Jirang MLA Sosthenos Sohtun, on July 16, felicitated the meritorious SSLC students of 2020, 2021 and 2022 batch during a programme at Auditorium Hall CTI, 12 Mile, Byrnihat.
The MLA also presented a laptop to a student of New Era Secondary School, Mawsma, Sohan Thapa, who secured 15th rank in this year’s SSLC examination.
Students, who secured first division, were given momentous and traditional shawl, plus cash award by Sohtun who graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA of Jowai Constituency, Wailadmiki Shylla, thanking the parents for supporting their children, Shylla said that the students must work hard and aim high in life to make their parents and the state proud.
The programme was also attended by chairman of MCCL, Victor Ranee MDC Jirang Constituency, other dignitaries, principals of different schools and parents of the students.
