Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) legislator from Gambegre, Saleng Sangma, has informed that construction of the party office has started at Bivar Road.
“The party has sanctioned a certain amount to start construction of the office,” Sangma said.
He said that earth cutting has begun even as Sangma was hopeful that construction of the office building would be completed within two-three months.
The NCP legislator said that once the construction of the party office is completed, organising for the 2023 Assembly elections will follow.
It may be mentioned that the foundation stone for construction of the NCP office was laid by former Union Minister Praful Patel in January 2018.
The site of the NCP office building is located close to the office of the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The area is around 3,000 square feet.
