Road adjacent to Tura Civil hospital’s Covid-19 ward temporarily closed

It is important to note that the road will be closed only for public vehicles, while the movement of pedestrians will be allowed.

TURA:

In pursuance of the ongoing construction of an 80-bedded hospital at Tura Civil Hospital, West Garo Hills, the Deputy Commissioner had announced the Temporary Closure of the Road adjoining the Covid-19 Ward at Civil Hospital, Tura.

It may be mentioned that the purpose of this temporary closure is necessitated for the construction of an 80-bedded hospital, a project aimed at enhancing healthcare facilities for the residents of our district and ensuring the safety of the general public residing near the construction site.

Further, the closure will be effective 24/7, 365 days, throughout the construction period. However, it is important to note that the road will be closed only for public vehicles, while the movement of pedestrians will be allowed.

The District Administration kindly seeks the cooperation of residents, commuters and the general public during this period. The Deputy Commissioner stated that he understands the inconvenience this may cause and assures everyone that every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.

This shall come into effect from 21st January, 2024 and will remain effective until further notice.
