SHILLONG:
Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Urban Affairs Sniawbhalang Dhar will conduct an inspection of all smart city projects this week.
“I am planning to inspect all the smart city projects, this week,” Dhar said.
According to him, all projects are having different timelines and are well within the stipulated time limit.
He informed that the department had already identified few places within the city for taking up new projects under the Smart city project.
“We are planning to have car parks (which will accomodate 2,000-3,000 cars). A few land identified belongs to the GAD, forest and MeECL. However, I am yet to negotiate with these departments for handing over the land to the Urban Affairs department. If they agree, it will be great for the department,” Dhar added.
