TMC attacks CM; says NPP worked half-heartedly without vision

"Despite multiple pleas, it is disappointing to see that the road that is supposed to be laid between Nongstoin to Kyrshai is now laid only between Rambrai to Mawlong. This road must be laid till Kyrshai, as the villagers have been facing extreme difficulties to commute since many years, especially the women who visit hospitals for checkups," Dkhar said.

SHILLONG:

Meghalaya TMC candidate from Rambrai-Jyrngam, Fernandez S Dkhar, on February 17, lambasted the NPP-led MDA government for depriving the people of his constituency by failing to bring essential developments.

Taking a jibe at the Conrad Sangma-led MDA government for its lackadaisical attitude, the Meghalaya TMC candidate said, “Despite multiple pleas, it is disappointing to see that the road that is supposed to be laid between Nongstoin to Kyrshai is now laid only between Rambrai to Mawlong. This road must be laid till Kyrshai, as the villagers have been facing extreme difficulties to commute since many years, especially the women who visit hospitals for checkups.”

Assuring the people to bring back the lost lands given to Assam by CM Conrad Sangma,  Dkhar said, “Villages under Nonglang have been given to Assam without consulting with the residents of all the 11 villages. We will not only bring back the land, but also the lost dignity.”

“After coming to power, we will also set up a police station in Rambrai, and police outposts in the border areas. We will take measures to convert PHCs to CHCs to provide standard healthcare to the people,” he added, assuring the people,” he said.

The Meghalaya TMC leader emphasised that the party is receiving overwhelming support from across the state. He remarked, “People from all sections of society have come out in support of Meghalaya TMC knowing that the Trinamool Congress is the only party that can empower them. All other parties are hands in glove with the NPP-led MDA government and have been a part of this disastrous regime for the past five years. TMC will bring the desired change that the people of the state are hoping for.”

Reiterating the significance of the people-centric schemes introduced by the party, the Meghalaya TMC leader said, “The revolutionary WE Card and MYE Card schemes were introduced to empower our women and youth, who were deprived due to this anti-people government. These initiatives will be remembered by the people of Rambrai as well as the state…”
