Voice of the People Party (VPP) president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit, on May 19, announced that he will stage an indefinite hunger strike from May 23 over the reservation policy.
He made this announcement after members of the VPP walked out from the all-party meeting called by the state government to discuss about the implementation of the roster system.
