100th episode of PM’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ screened at Raj Bhavan, Shillong

The Governor thanked the Prime Minister for mentioning the unique foods of the North East in his well-liked broadcast, Mann Ki Baat. "The Mann Ki Baat project appears to have sparked a sense of pride among the Northeastern area, particularly Meghalaya.

Today marked the completion of the 100th edition of the monthly radio show “Mann Ki Baat” hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Eminent figures from a variety of disciplines in the State attended the special screening of the programme that was held at the Raj Bhavan in Shillong. The famous radio broadcast was specially screened by media units under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Shillong in association with the Raj Bhavan.

Shri Phagu Chauhan, the governor of Meghalaya, attended the special screening as the chief guest. In his speech, Shri Chauhan declared that the Mann Ki Baat had strengthened the bond between our Prime Minister and the populace and encouraged them to become change agents in the advancement of our beautiful country.

As he continued, “Through the programme, diverse topics have been covered, be it in furthering sustainable development, highlighting efforts of women empowerment, ways to strengthen the Aatmanirbhar Bharat movement on the ground, furthering a culture of sports, salient aspects of Indian culture, and more.” Shri Chauhan said that Mann Ki Baat has emerged as a transformative force in highlighting the collective strengths of the people of India.

The Governor thanked the Prime Minister for mentioning the unique foods of the North East in his well-liked broadcast, Mann Ki Baat. “The Mann Ki Baat project appears to have sparked a sense of pride among the Northeastern area, particularly Meghalaya. Since the beginning, the Prime Minister has made several references to the Northeast and Meghalaya.

Additionally, according to Shri Chauhan, Mann Ki Baat has been at the forefront of showcasing inspirational works in rural areas of the country, including tribal areas and districts with high aspirations.

The Governor expressed his happiness at attending the special screening of the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat alongside prominent figures whose lives and careers likewise exemplify the humanitarian spirit of the show. The Governor also opened a photo exhibition on Change-makers and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav that the Central Bureau of Communication, Shillong, had organised on the grounds of the Raj Bhavan.
