SHILLONG:
The best-loved arts, events, and festivals are back to the beautiful hill station of Shillong giving people an opportunity to go out and have fun with their friends and families. This time we have the much-awaited Cherry Blossom Festival that will bring in some of the best artists to the town. Both fest aimed at promoting tourism, will witness a gamut of events incorporating arts, literature, music, food, and others.
Cherry Blossom Festival
With the onset of winter, the entire Shillong is draped in pink with Cherry flowers blooming across the city, a phenomenal sight to witness during the winters. Celebrating the season, the government of Meghalaya will be organising the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival to promote arts, music, culture, literature, food, and tourism. The four-day festival which will be held from November 23-26 will have two venues — Ward’s lake and Polo Grounds. The latter will host musical performances, fashion shows and other events. Besides music, the festival will have lot of other attractions, including fashion shows, influencers zone, cosplay, food courts and other exciting things. Visitors can also indulge in locally-made goods, food, handicrafts and other products at the venue.
Musical evening spread across four days is bound to be a major attraction as the event will see many local and international artists such as Hybrid Theory, Papon, Snow White, HRVY, Summersalt, Jonas Blues, Nikhil Chinapa taking centrestage.
