NONGPOH:
One two-wheeler rider and a truck driver were caught engaging in a fight on the roadside in 15th Mile, Byrnihat, Ri Bhoi District on January 19.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened when the truck driver who was parking his truck on the national highway accidentally spat on the two-wheeler driver.
As per reports, the truck driver apologised and offered money as compensation but the rider refused which resulted in a heated argument and later turned into a fight which ended after the intervention of the police.
Upon the arrival of the cops, the truck driver ran away and the two-wheeler driver was taken to Byrnihat CHC for medical treatment.
After the occurrence, spectators commented that this should be a lesson for people to not spit recklessly everywhere and anywhere.
