A group of ad hoc higher secondary school teachers under the umbrella of Khasi Jaintia Higher Secondary Adhoc Teachers’ Association (KJHSATA) has given a week to the Education Department to fulfil the demand for enhancing their salaries and to upgrade ad hoc schools to deficit system.
Following the decision of the Federation of All School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM), the KJHSATA has decided to follow it and serve a week’s ultimatum to the government.
The president of KJHSATA, Mayborn Lyngdoh, said that the association will wait for the decision of the government with regard to their demands.
He also informed that if their demands are not met, the association will have a meeting with the leaders of FASTOM.
