SHILLONG:
The All India Trinamool Congress on Saturday formed its Block Committee in Sohiong where new committee members including the president and general secretary were elected.
In the sixteen member block committee, Stodingster Thabah was appointed as president and Dinestar Rani as the general secretary.
The newly appointed block president said the party is in the process of building AITC’s base in every nook and corner of the state. “We are meeting people….Our leaders are interacting with grassroots and introducing them to the TMC’s ideology and vision. The main reason behind people joining the party is that only TMC is capable of fighting against the divisive BJP.”
Highlighting the rising unemployment, State Trinamool Student Congress president, Bansharai Pyngrope, encouraged dropouts to restart their journey in education while president of Sohra Block, Iohdorlang Diengdoh also explained the vision and mission of the party to the public.
State All India Trinamool Congress vice-president James Lyngdoh also urged the newly appointed committee to work hard to strengthen the party in the block.
