Avner Medon Pariat, will be contesting from Voice of the People Party (VPP) in the upcoming 2023 Assembly polls.
Pariat said that he decided to join the party after he was convinced with the principle of the VPP which stands for ‘clean politics’.
Pariat said that the East Shillong constituency lacks in many aspects which is an obstacle especially for the youths.
He said lack of health infrastructures is an issue in the constituency.
“I also want to give the youths opportunities to be better employed,” Pariat added.
Party member Kara Chen informed that the VPP stands on the principle that win or lose they will not use money to come to power.
“Yes we need money. But we will not use it to buy votes,” Chen said.
He said that if legislators win election by buying votes that government will not be legal. Chen further stated that the VPP will not use money to win elections.
