SHILLONG:
Troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya on Saturday, nabbed a Bangladeshi national with Indian currency valued at Rs 4 lakh.
The person was apprehended while he was attempting to cross the international border illegally from India to Bangladesh.
The apprehended person revealed his identity as Md. Iqbal Miah (45) and a resident of Upsahar, under Sylhet district.
The person was apprehended near Dawki boating point while trying to cross over into Bangladesh illegally.
The source of money is yet to be known.
The seized Indian currency and apprehended person was handed over to Dawki police station for further Investigation and legal proceedings.
