Bangladesh Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, accompanied by eight high-ranking officials, arrived in Aizawl for a three-day visit on April 22.
The visit of the Bangladeshi delegation is aimed at boosting the proposed Indo-Bangladesh border trade.
Munshi and his team were received by Mizoram Trade and Commerce Minister R Lalthangliana and other officials at Lengpui Airport.
Munshi and Lalthangliana will undertake a joint verification visit of the proposed border trade sites at Silsuri in Mamit district and Integrated Check Post at Kawrpuichhuah in Lunglei district on April 22.
Following this, Munshi will hold a joint press conference with Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga on April 25.
