SHILLONG:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, AL Hek, on October 29 informed that the party’s central leaders will take a call on whether to withdraw from the National People’s Party (NPP)-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA).
He told reporters, “The central leaders are not keeping quiet and have their own way of taking decisions and definitely calls will be taken by them.”
It may be mentioned that the BJP has threatened to pull out of the MDA in the past months alleging rampant corruption in the alliance.
The BJP has two MLAs in the state – Hek from Pynthorbah constituency and Sanbor Shullai from South Shillong constituency.
