BJP will form govt in Meghalaya: Himanta

Sarma was in Nongpoh to campaign for BJP candidate Marian Maring before heading to Shillong.

NONGPOH:

Assam Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on February 19, exuded confidence of BJP forming government in Meghalaya, even as he hailed the saffron party’s ability to field candidates in all 60 seats in the upcoming elections.

Sarma was in Nongpoh to campaign for BJP candidate Marian Maring before heading to Shillong.

Speaking to media persons after meeting BJP candidate at Nongpoh, Sarma expressed confidence in BJP coming to power given the love and acceptance from the people of Meghalaya.

“During my two-day visit to Garo Hills, I have seen the support of people in Garo Hills and even in Nongpoh, the party candidate is doing good for this upcoming election 2023 in Meghalaya,” Sharma said, adding the vision of the party to bring all-round development in Meghalaya will be realised once BJP comes to power.
