BSF truck rams into parked vehicles in Tura; four injured

While the border organisation has claimed that the incident happened due to brake failure, the police said, it will await the motor vehicle inspection report

TURA:

A Border Security Force (BSF) truck, used for ferrying troops, rammed into several parked vehicles before capsizing in the heart of Tura’s Nakham Bazaar area on the morning of July 2. Four persons, including a woman, sustained minor injuries in the incident and were taken to the Tura hospital for treatment.

According to the police, the incident occurred at around 11:30 am when the truck (AS-01-KC-1775), belonging to the 181 Battalion BSF, lost control and hit several vehicles parked on the road causing severe damage to them before turning turtle.

While the border organisation has claimed that the incident happened due to brake failure, the police said, it will await the motor vehicle inspection report.

An FIR has been filed at the Tura Police Station and a case has been registered in this regard.
