Cannot revive MCCL: CM

Replying to the debate on the Governor’s address, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said the state is now faced with a brick wall after having ceaselessly pumped money into MCCL and yielded not one positive result.

SHILLONG:

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, on March 21, said the government could not revive Mawmluh Cherra Cement Limited (MCCL) despite sanctioning almost Rs 300 crore for complete renovation and restructuring of the company.

Replying to the debate on the Governor’s address, he said the state is now faced with a brick wall after having ceaselessly pumped money into MCCL and yielded not one positive result.

“Therefore, we are trying to find out the most amicable solution to the issue,” he said.
