Several leaders of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) are in Sohiong campaigning for its candidate, S Osborne Kharjana.
The Congress on April 13 constituted the campaign committee in which Umsning MLA, Celestine Lyngdoh is the chairman of the committee, and Mawhati MLA, Charles Marngar is the member secretary.
General secretary of Sohiong Block Congress Committee, Hambert Thangkhiew told The Meghalayan that the leaders of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) are campaigning in Sohiong for the candidate while also strengthening the party.
Asked, if he agrees that the sympathy wave will work this time for United Democratic Party (UDP), he said, “Late Maheh HDR Lyngdoh is not the sitting MLA, how will sympathy votes work?”
On the other hand, he criticised NPP candidate, Samlin Malngiang for blabbering without any issues.
