Cricket Lovers won the final of the East Khasi Hills’ Cricket Association’s T20 Tournament by 33 runs over Nongdawah to lift the trophy in Mawryngkneng on Saturday.
Winning the toss, Nongdawah CC, elected to take the field first and in response, Cricket Lovers scored 163/5 in 20 overs. Winning Star Khongjoh top scored with 56*(32) and Rohit Yadav scored 29(27). Bhaboklang Nongpluh of Nongdawah took 2/32 in 4 overs. In Reply, Nongdawah CC could only manage to score 130/10 in 17.4 overs. Moonlight War top scored with 38(25) and Resting Sari scored 18(18). Rahul Prem Rai of Cricket Lovers took 3/27 in 4 overs and Rohit Yadav of Cricket Lovers took 3/20 in 3 overs. Player-of-the-match was awarded to Winning Star Khongjoh (Cricket Lovers).
