Cricket trial held at Ri Bhoi

The President of RBDCA, R Kharkamni said that the Aim of this Talent Hunt was to bring out all the talented youth who has interested in cricket and to select the best to train in the cricket academy in Ri Bhoi, as the state is still lacking good players to represent the state in U-14, U-16 and U-19 boys and girls categories.

First day of Ri Bhoi cricket talent Hunt, organised by Ri Bhoi District Cricket Association (RBDCA) saw plethora of talented young cricketers taking part in the event at the at Madan Nongrim, Byrnihat on Saturday.

The event which was conducted by A level coach of The Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) and Sumit Gurung, O level coach of BCCI in the presence of Rayonald Kharkamni, president of Ri Bhoi District Cricket Association and Micheal Kharkunai, Secretary of RBDCA, aimed at promoting sport of cricket in the region and tap young talent in the age categories of Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19.

The President of RBDCA, R Kharkamni said that the Aim of this Talent Hunt was to bring out all the talented youth who has interested in cricket and to select the best to train in the cricket academy in Ri Bhoi, as the state is still lacking good players to represent the state in U-14, U-16 and U-19 boys and girls categories.

He also said that the trail will continue to other parts of the district on October 21 and 22. At Umsning Patarim, trial will be conducted on October 27, 28, 29. Trial will also be conducted at Nongpog.

So he, urged all the young players from the region to appear for the trial and use the opportunity for good.
