DG BSF on two-day visit

Director General BSF interacted with field commanders and applauded the dedication of the personnel in safeguarding the borders and their efforts to control crime along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

SHILLONG:

The Director General, Border Security Force (BSF), Nitin Agrawal, is on a two-day visit of Meghalaya Frontier BSF on Tuesday and Wednesday to review the current security scenario and operational preparedness on Indo-Bangladesh border.

On Tuesday, Agrawal was welcomed by Inspector General of BSF Meghalaya, Pradip Kumar and other senior officers at BSF campus, Umpling.

Kumar briefed the Director General about the general security scenario and operational preparedness on the Indo – Bangladesh border of Meghalaya Frontier.

The Inspector General also briefed Agrawal about the challenges along the Indo-Bangladesh border and measures taken to counter them.

Director General BSF interacted with field commanders and applauded the dedication of the personnel in safeguarding the borders and their efforts to control crime along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

During the visit, he also inaugurated the Officers’ Institute at BSF Frontier headquarter Umpling.
