Eastern West Khasi Hills District celebrates the 52nd Meghalaya Day

MAIRANG:

The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Eastern West Khasi Hills District, celebrated the 52nd Meghalaya Day on January 20, 2024, with a grand event held at Lyngdoh Masi, Mairang. The programme was chaired by A. Nongbri, MCS, ADC Mairang, and graced by the presence of Shri PM Syiem, Syiem of Hima Nongkhlaw, who served as the Chief Guest, L Nongbri, Sordar Shnong Lyngdoh Masi, Mayborn Diengdoh MCS, ADC Mairang, M.B Syiem MPS, SP Mairang, other government officials and villagers from far and near of Mairang.

The event was a delightful occasion to mark Meghalaya’s rich culture, history, and progress while also bringing attention to the government’s commitment to public welfare. The 52nd Meghalaya Day celebration was a resounding success, fostering unity, and pride among the people of the region.

In addition to the celebrations, the District Administration of Eastern West Khasi Hills District organised the Viskit Bharat Yatra, aiming to highlight various beneficial government schemes for the general public. This initiative provided an important platform to showcase and promote the governmental programs designed to enhance the well-being of the community.
