SHILLONG:
Former president of the Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF) Damewanhi L Rymbai, on July 4, said that he will contest the 2023 assembly polls from Khliehriat constituency.
Rymbai, who is also a teacher by profession and a farmer by passion, said that his decision to contest the election is fueled by his desire to provide good service, bring a change in the administration by getting it closer to the people of Khliehriat and the state as a whole.
He said that his mission is to make Wapung and Khliehriat as a model village and town besides promoting farming and provide employment for the youth.
Khliehriat is currently being represented by Minister in-charge Social Welfare Kyrmen Shylla.
