AGARTALA:
The state election commission of Tripura on September 13 informed that the final electoral roll for village committee election will be published on September 30.
A notification undersigned by state Election Commissioner, ML Dey, specified the programme for publication of Electoral Rolls of the Village Committee Constituencies.
“Date of draft publication of Electoral Rolls is September 16, period of filing of claims and objections is from September 16 to 22, while period of disposal of claims and objections is by September 26, and date of final publication of Electoral Rolls is September 30,” the notification read.
It further said that the Electoral Rolls for the Village Committee Constituencies shall be based on the Electoral Rolls of the state Assembly constituencies which is in force for the time being.
“All the Electoral Registration Officers should follow the relevant provisions of the ‘Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Village Committee (Preparation of Electoral Roll) Rules, for draft and final publication of the Electoral Rolls,” it added.
