Former HSPDP MLA Diostarness Jyndiang resigns

In a statement issued here, Jyndiang informed that he resigned from the HSPDP on personal grounds.

Nongstoin:

Former Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) MLA from Nongstoin Constituency, Diostarness Jyndiang, resigned from the primary membership of the HSPDP on January 16.

Jyndiang submitted his resignation letter to the President of Hills State Peoples Democratic Party K.P Pangniang on January 16.

In a statement issued here, Jyndiang informed that he resigned from the HSPDP on personal grounds.

The former MLA is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and will contest the polls from Nongstoin on a BJP ticket.

It may be mentioned that Diostarness Jyndiang won the bye-election from the Nongstoin seat following the death of HSPDP legislator Hopingstone Lyngdoh.

Jyndiang also contested the 2018 assembly election from the constituency on an HSPDP ticket and secured the third position.
