SHILLONG:
Former member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDF), Gilbert Laloo, joined the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) on December 15 at the state party office in the presence of state party president Charles Pyngrope, TMC vice-president James Lyngdoh, TMC Mylliem Block president Samuel Hashah.
Laloo is a former district general secretary of NPP, East Khasi Hills, and former president, PDF Zonal Committee, Mylliem.
Speaking on the occasion, Laloo said that the party will be working hard to ensure TMC’s victory in 2023.
Stating that there are numerous benefits in West Bengal under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, Laloo said that the state of Meghalaya will also enjoy such benefits if TMC comes to power maintaining that TMC stands for the grassroots.
Meanwhile, Pyngrope urged the party workers to show humility while approaching people and work for the people and the state.
