The national spokesperson of Trinamool Congress (TMC), Saket S. Gokhale filed a written complaint with the Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills, Sylvester Nongtnger, against Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong for calling him a ‘psycho’.
Gokhale stated that by insinuating that the mental state of the undersigned is improper, Tynsong has committed criminal defamation against him which is liable for prosecution u/s 499 of the IPC.
“You’re, therefore, requested to immediately register a complaint u/s 499 IPC against Prestone Tynsong for criminal defamation and furnish an acknowledgement of the same to the complainant i.e. the undersigned,” Gokhale stated.
