SHILLONG:
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has said that emergence of monkeypox cases in the country is a cause for concern even as he added that the state was maintaining Covid-19 protocols and screening and vaccination is still being done.
“In general the health system is in on an alert mode in every respect. So we are alert on this entire issue (monkeypox) and the government will examine whatever further steps may be re3quired,” the chief minister said.
