SHILLONG:

Environmentalist and retired reverend of the Unitarian church HH Mohrmen has finally made up his mind on which party’s ticket he wants to contest the 2023 assembly polls.

The noted columnist, on June 23, said that he would be fighting the polls on a All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) ticket from Jowai, a constituency which is currently being represented by National People’s Party (NPP) MLA Wailadmiki Shylla.

Taking to twitter, AITC leader and Opposition chief whip, George B Lyngdoh, welcomed Mohrmen and his leaders to the party fold.

“We heartily welcome Ma H.H. Mohrmen & his leaders to the TMC family. May he flourish in his leadership as he continues to guide & lead people upfront; unitedly we pray for God’s blessings as they fight for our beloved people! (sic)” he said.
