Nongstoin:
The Hynniewtrep National Youth Movement (HNYM), on April 11, met the chief manager of State Bank of India (SBI) to request the installation of two additional Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills district.
The organisation requested the manager to set up one machine close to the WKH deputy commissioner’s office and another one in the heart of the marketplace for easy public access.
The organisation’s request stems from the fact that the public has had a tough time accessing ATMs because the majority of them are located solely in Nongstoiñ.
It may be mentioned that there are no ATMs at the Rambrai, Riangdo, or Shallang markets; instead, residents need to travel all the way to Nongstoiñ to access one.
