SHILLONG:
Much to the dismay of the UDP-AITC-VPP camp, the two newly-elected MLAs of the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) and two independent MLAs have extended their support to the National People’s Party (NPP) to form the government.
The four of them submitted their letter of support to NPP chief Conrad Sangma and Nartiang MLA Sniawbhalang Dhar in Shillong today.
The two HSPDP MLAs include – Methodius Dkhar and Shakliar Warjri while the two Independent MLAs are Remington Gabil Momin and Kartush R Marak.
The development comes after leaders of the UDP, TMC, VPP and others met UDP leader Lahkmen Rymbui at his residence today to sort out plans for the formation of the next government.
