SHILLONG:
In celebration of the 91st Anniversary of the Indian Air Force, the Headquarters Eastern Air Command is organising a thrilling air display over Umiam Lake, Shillong, as part of its public engagement efforts. This remarkable event will feature a Flypast by ALH and Chinook helicopters, Dornier transport aircraft, SU-30, and Rafale fighter jets.
The skilled pilots aboard these aircraft will perform a variety of formation flying and extraordinary aerial manoeuvres, showcasing their exceptional flying abilities and professionalism. The highlight of the show will be a spectacular helicopter formation flying display by the renowned Sarang Helicopter Display Team, recognised as one of the best helicopter display teams globally.
The Air Show is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2023, with a full dress rehearsal (FDR) set for October 17, 2023, commencing at 9:15 am. The event promises a breathtaking display of aerial prowess, offering an exciting experience for all attendees.
