KAM Meghalaya, a political platform though not yet a registered party, which depends on people’s donations for their campaigns said that their manifesto will be a people’s manifesto.
Addressing a press conference on January 11 by giving an update on their campaign and disclosure of accounts, independent candidate from South Shillong Angela Rangad said that three independent candidates – Rangad from South Shillong, Wanpynhun Kharsyntiew from East Shillong and Kyrsoibor Pyrtuh from North Shillong, have visited almost 70 per cent of the households.
As per the KAM press note, it informed that till people had donated Rs 9, 26, 636, out of the total donations, Rs 4,36, 200 have been from Meghalaya and the rest is from other parts of India.
They provided the survey form, which will form the basis for the manifesto and said, “We believe that we are building a people’s manifesto.”
