An overloaded charcoal truck hit an electric pole near CMJ Breweries in the Rajabajan Byrnihat area at around 7 am on Sunday, causing it to break and fall onto the road leading to traffic congestion. Only small vehicles were able to pass through the road, and several nearby villages from Byrnihat to Khanapara were left without electricity.
According to the information, the truck (RJ 48 GA 5606) hit the electric pole due to the excessive height of the loaded charcoal.
Some elders informed us that the trucks that transport charcoal to the factories are often overloaded. To pass through the road, the truckers lift the wires using bamboo to clear the way. Unfortunately, in this instance, the truck hit the electric pole, causing it to fall onto the road. Till late in the evening, the fallen electric pole lay on the road.
