A lookout notice has been issued across all states and union territories by police against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member of the district council (MDC) of Tura, Bernard N Marak alias Rimpu, on July 26. Bernard have been absonding after a sex racket was busted at his farmhouse that led to the arrest of 73 persons and rescue of 5 minors.
The lookout notice issued under sections of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, 1956, by Meghalaya police is in connection with a case of sex trafficking that occurred at the MDC’s farmhouse where a minor girl was allegedly, repeatedly raped by a man in the month of February, this year.
The lookout notice given to all police stations in the country, across the states and union territories, mentions that the absconding BJP leader has a non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him by a district sessions court in Tura after he failed to surrender to police after his farmhouse was raided for prostitution and rave parties on the night of July 22.
